Austin Roofing Company & Water Damage Restoration | WDR

I had hail damage and came home to a pool of water from the roof in the bathroom. I needed a service provider to help me ASAP. I did research and found that WDR had great reviews in Yelp and Google Reviews both. I was able to get someone to come out, do an assessment, provide estimates, and work with the insurance person who came out to review and estimate costs to repair the damage. Taylor was great at the start, but for 2 months after the project had been completed and I had paid my balance (or so I thought), I heard nothing from him to wrap it up to get my depreciation check from the insurance company. I kept chasing him on text, called him, left him voicemails, he would promise to get back to me, never did, and so after 2 months I finally called WDR and told them the situation and how I wasn't impressed with how Taylor started off strong but failed to finish the project and I needed to get this off my list ASAP and get that depreciation check. My patience had worn thin.

She singlehandedly salvaged this review (I was planning on leaving a 2 star review on Google and Yelp) and my experience with WDR as a service provider. She was apologetic (I told her it wasn't her fault, why was she apologizing!) and promised she would look into what was going on and get back to me. She actually did get back to me, and she was nothing but professional, empathetic, diligent, and was the one who got me my depreciation payment from the insurance company. She also found errors with the final balance--I thought I had paid it off but there was a small amount left that Taylor hadn't done the math on properly. Her attention to detail, her ability to salvage my experience, and her professionalism are why I would I would return to WDR for any future roofing needs and would refer them to my family and friends.

Taylor, you were great to start and were very helpful with helping me pick out shingles and ensure the project was executing from a materials and labor perspective (as well as post-job cleanup), but please do ensure you wrap up with a bow, start to finish, all your customers' experiences. Customers should not have to chase consistently (for 2 months) to try to get updates and be met with empty promises and silence. The depreciation check is a big part of what customers need back in their pockets, and til that's done, a project is not completed.
